Copenhagen Trip‏

Hey everyone! Glad to hear you all had a really great week! This week for me was really fun as well.
On Tuesday afternoon we started making the long trip down to Copenhagen. We overnighted in Fredericia and then I picked up my old MTC Companion Elder Higby and we continued the rest of the trip the next morning. We had a great meeting with the assistants and president. I was way happy to have our 1 year meeting with President Sederholm right before he left (he leaves today). I learned a ton of things that I think will not only help me for my mission but for the rest of my life.

We also had the opportunity to go to the temple right after that. This was a big deal for me because I had a lot of questions and concerns that I wanted to figure out, one of which was actually gaining a testimony of the temple and temple work. I always heard people saying how much they love going to the temple and how they just love going to Copenhagen JUST to visit the temple. Personally I could think of a ton of other reasons to go to Copenhagen other than going to the temple and I just had an attitude of "whatever." However, I really wanted to gain a testimony of the temple before I returned home and so I went in with the desire to really gain a testimony of the temple. I had an incredible experience in the temple and all of my questions and concerns were answered! I can now say that I really believe that the temple is the house of God. Although I still dont have the strongest testimony of temples yet, I now have that foundation to build upon. The whole day Wednesday was just a life changing day for me :)

Finally Sunday was a lot of fun as well. We had branch conference and so there was a bunch of people from the stake there. I loved it cuz I got to see a bunch of members from Aalborg and even a couple from Odense! I also got to know a lot of the members better and it was great. We are trying this new thing where we meet with a couple members once a week to help us with the language. We are starting with a few members this week and Im way pumped! Im gonna be a danish speaking master haha!

This week we are going down to Århus to meet the new mission president so Im pretty stoked for that. Anyway, thats about all for this week. Have a great week yall!

ps. the first pic was fun because this weekend they had like a big festival where their was a bunch of people dressed up like pirates and stuff. They also had 3 way old ships in harbor and they all fired off their cannons on the last day. It was really cool to see. Just like old days here in Denmark. Also we went to the beach :)

1 Year Specialized Training

Frederikshavn and Odense pictures‏

Hey everyone! So this week was way great! I ended up transferring to Frederikshavn. My new companion is named Ældste Gudmundson and we've been getting along really well. He is from Cedar City Utah. The city is the tiniest city Ive served in and its a really old fishing town. Actually our apartment is right over one of the best fish shops in Frederikshavn apparently. The apartment is nice too other than the fact that when I got there the first day it looked like it got nuked, so Ive been working on cleaning that up this past week. Frederikshavn has some pretty nice beaches here as well where they even import palm trees!  The branch up here has about 40 active members WHO are all great.

This past week we've mostly just been doing random service project for a bunch of different people. We have also been trying to do a lot of finding here as well because the teaching pool we have right now isnt the biggest thing I've seen in my life. I also love being back in the district and being able to go back to Aalborg every week for district meeting and getting to see everything Again.

This week I have my 1 year meeting Down in Copenhagen this week so that will be a lot of fun to get to go the temple Again Down there. Other than that not anything to crazy going on, just been trying to get to know the area and stuff.

Have a great week everybody!

HUMP DAY!!!‏

Hey yall! So I have officially hit my 1 year mark on the mission!  It is crazy to think about all the crazy adventures Ive had and how far Ive come. I have done things I never would have dreamed of doing, seen beautiful 16th century castles, met a ridiculous amount of crazy people, and I have seen so many miracles and seen God change peoples lives in a matter of days, including my own. My testimony has grown ten fold in the last year. I want to share just a quick testimony of things that I have now KNOW to be true. I now know without a doubt that the book of mormon is the word of God. I know that Thomas S. Monson is the Lords living prophet on the earth today and that the apostolic keys are restored to the earth. I know that a family based on principles of the Gospel will be a blessed and happy home and finally, I know that the atonement of Jesus Christ is for everyone. I am so blessed to be here and to have the chance to share the gospel. I am also just way pumped for all the things to come this next year!!

This week was way fun though. We got to go on splits down in Svenborg where we all ate at a members who is an extremely good cook and tried to murder us with a delicious, Danish 4 course meal. I completely fell over and had a fatty attack. On thursday we had an awesome zone training where President and sister Sederholm gave their departing testimonies. It was just a way great tribute zone training to them and all the other missionaries leaving this transfer. This wednesday we are expecting transfer calls and so unless something crazy happens I am most likely going to transfer :( But, I am willing to go wherever the lord sends me.

Thats about all for this week. I hope yall have another awesome week and enjoy the summer!

And the Thunder Rolls...

Ya the weather has been really bad here too. The last few days have been raining a ton! But its totally ok cuz you know why? Cuz just like the thunder, the work here has been rollin! haha. So this week was just awesome! We had the baptism of our investigator Mathias on Saturday which went way well! He was an exchange student in Utah a year ago and the family he was with flew over for the baptism. The host dad named keen performed the baptism, and confirmation and also ordained him to the office of a priest that same day! It was an incredible weekend and just amazing to have the chance to teach him and get to know him. He is also planning on serving a mission in the next couple of years!

Our ward and this area in Odense is just way different. We have had 5 baptisms in our ward alone this month and have had a baptism almost every week here since Ive been here! Its incredible! There are 4 missionaries sitting here in the library and as I write this there have been 2 people come up to us and ask us about who we are and about God and stuff. In the last 2 hours there have been like 2 others come up and just talk to us! I literally have no idea whats going on here! We have just been extremely blessed with the amount of success we are having. The Lord is really hastening his work here in Danmark.

Things have been just amazing here this week! I love you all tons and hope you all have a way awesome week!
