#becausehelives‏

This week was my first week with Æ. Howland and it was a lot of fun. He brought a lot of energy back into my missionary work again and we had a ton of fun. Honestly it was a pretty darn normal week as far as missionary work goes but it was still way fun. We have made a lot of goals to help build the area up as much as possible. We also really hit the finding grind this week with knocking and contacting and just purging the area book of everything we had/have. I have been really focusing on following and relying on the spirit as much as I can in just knowing where we should go and how to teach our lessons and everything and guess what? ITS WORKING! We are actually finding like way positive people on streets we pray about and I am actually understanding a lot better in our lessons and being able to teach a lot better than I have been in Danish! Its truly been a miracle for me and a real testimony builder.

Some random crap from this week: Our first kontakt me and Æ Howland had as companions we were talking to a dude on the street and almost got nailed by an orange that got launched out of a car going like 100 miles an hour. But its good! It barely missed and we gave out a BOM.

I got a pretty nasty cold this week and we had to stay in for a little on Thursday but its good now. Feelin lots better :)

Experienced like a late night worship thing in the Cathedral here in Odense. Very interesting and also a bit spooky, especially in the crypt.

Finally, were contacting on the street, turned a corner and saw a naked chic peeing on the street. Turned around and walked the other way.

So ya all in all a pretty average week. This week though is Easter week (Fun fact: Danes actually get a whole week off for Easter). But if yall dont know already there is a video up called helives.mormon.org. There is a video about why Christs atonement and resurrection was totally awesome. So ya, yall should check that out and post it on faceboook or something with the hashtag #becausehelives. Its a great/easy way to do missionary work. I know that its #becausehelives that I can be forgiven of all the stupid stuff I did, and will do. #Becausehelives I can be comforted when I feel depressed and discouraged and then rise again to become better and meet my full potential.  I also know that #Becausehelives I can live with my family for time and all eternity.

Have a great week everyone and do something awesome!
Stay frosty,
Æ Pike

New Companion

Hey everyone! So this week has been really fun. We got to stop by and say goodbye to a lot of members and stuff because Æ swan went home today. Some highlights from the week was that we had our zone conference and so thats always fun just getting to see everyone again. We also got to see meet the mormons which was nice.

Another thing that was bizarre was that we had Æ Warner with us the last 3 days because his companion went home early so we were in a tripanionship. Then finally on Saturday we were at some members and we were joking about waxing Æ warners chest and so they said we got some wax and we did it right there. Gosh dang it was great. Other than that nothing too specific, just lots of fun eating appointments and stuff.

Today I got my new companion named Æ Howland. He seems really cool and it should hopefully be another really fun transfer.

Have a great week everyone! Enjoy March madness!

March 16, 2015

To all my fans out there I just wanna say thank you so much for all the prayers on my behalf, it really makes a difference. Thanks!

This week has been a lot of fun but also has been a bit stressful. We have some investigators that have just really been going through a rough patch and its been a bit tough to know how to help them. Yesterday one of our investigators came to church and wanted to talk to us privately. We sat down and he just broke down and told us about how he had been on drugs and things he met a girl and became good friends with her and basically long story short, he introduced her to cocaine and now she is hard core addicted. The guilt of that and some other things were just killing him and wanted our council and it was just hard. I felt so stinkin bad about it. So ya thats kinda just a small taste of the things that have gone on the past few days with our investigators.

This week should be really fun and busy though. Its my companions last week here before he heads home so we got some fun stuff planned so that should be good.

Anyway, thats about it for this week. Hope you all have a solid week this week!

still good in the hood.‏

Hey yall! Hope everything is going well. Thats tough losing Grandpa. Im gonna miss him a lot but I know hes in a better place. This shout out is just to say how much of an example he was to me and how much he did for me in my life. He was a stud muffin for sure! But I hope that everyone back home is doing ok..

Anyway, this week was pretty same old but it was just so stinkin fun. Although the area is a little slow right now its slowly pickin up and we are always laughing and having a good time. Also the weather is getting a little warmer and the sun is actually staying up a bit longer now which is great!

I've had several realizations this week: the first is that I found out that Pike means girl in Norwegian and second, I've just found out where the apostraphe is on the danish keyboard! So maybe I'll start throwin' those in every once in a while :) Maybe not though, its a bit of a stretch for my pinky finger.

This week unfortunately Cecelia wasnt really feeling ready to be baptized and is just freaking out a bit about it so she dropped her baptismal date so were just gonna keep taking it slow with her again and hopefully in the next bit well be able to set up another date with her.  We did actually have a neat experience this week though. So on Thursday on the way to an eating appointment we contacted a dude named David. He was super pumped to hear about our church and so we gave him a book of mormon and set up an appointment. The next day we get a call at like 8 at night from his dad who was just drunk as a skunk. So he is just chewin us out and sayin that we couldnt meet with David and all this bull. So we talk it through with him for like half an hour just explaining some of our beliefs and what we do and stuff like that. Then by the end of it he was like hmm I would actually like to learn a little bit about this too. We were like sweet! and then right after David gets on and says he just started reading a bit from the book of mormon after he got home and just couldnt stop and ended up reading the whole book of mormon in 1 day!!! WE were like "holy crap that is amazing!!" and then he says "ya and right when I was done I just threw up a ton of blood" and we were like "oh what the?!?" then he says "what does that mean?" and were like "I have no idea! Thats extrememly freaky! Has this ever happened before?!?" He then says ya it has because he is way addicted to drugs and alcohol and just explains all this crap thats happened because of that. So we were a bit relieved that at least it wasnt the first time that happened. (Kids, Dont ever do drugs or alcohol! Its some bad crap). But long story short he is really stoked to learn about our church and come closer to Christ! It was pretty wild!

Anyway, I hope you all have an awesome week this week. Love you guys tons!

March Zone Training

Stomach Flu

Not much to report on this week. Just dont be to alarmed by the subject line. Im just fine, it was actually my companion that got the stomach flu.  Because of that we were inside most the week. I was basically bored to tears this week.  I watched Ephraims rescue 5 times.  Count it: FIVE TIMES. Alls I can say is sweet baby donkey kong it was a long week.

Luckily however he got better on the weekend so we were able to actually do something. We also had stake conference yesterday which was just awesome! I just loved meeting up with all my buddies from the mission as well as all the members from Aalborg again. Honestly one of the funnest days ever just catching up on old times. I gues thats what heaven is all about is being with the people you love all the time.

Anyway, keep the emails comin! I absolutely love hearing from you guys. also I should hopefully get my camera back this week so expect pics again.

Kærlighed!
